The side panel stays beside your browsing and gives the vault more room. Choose Popup if you prefer a compact window.
Load bulk tabs only when selected
Recommended for large folders and session restores. Tabs start as lightweight local placeholders; sites and videos stay unloaded until selected.
Start with tabs suspended
Pause restored web tabs when Chrome starts. Unsaved state and tab Back/Forward history may be lost. Chrome can start a page before the extension runs; prepare tabs below before closing to avoid that initial loading.
Prepare for restart
Pause web tabs now, including the current tab, so they can reopen without loading their sites. Keep Chrome’s “Continue where you left off” startup setting enabled to restore your normal tabs. Private windows are not restored by Chrome.
Default Open in Incognito
When enabled, clicking any bookmark or selecting "Open all" opens links inside a private Incognito window.

Allow right-click menu to show normal window options. Default is off: only Incognito is available.
Chrome tab layout: Vertical or Horizontal
We recommend trying native vertical tabs to read full page titles and manage long tab lists. Open Chrome Appearance → Tab position and choose Vertical or Horizontal. You can also right-click the tab strip → Show Tabs Vertically / Horizontally. Availability depends on your Chrome version.

🔒 Security & Master Password
Normal tab history
Automatically record normal browsing windows, including while locked. Unlock to view or restore their encrypted checkpoints.
Incognito tab history
Automatically record private windows, including while locked. Their URLs remain encrypted after the windows close. This switch is independent of normal history.
Automatically suspend inactive tabs
Use Chrome's native discard to free RAM in normal and Incognito windows. Active, pinned, audio-playing, loading, and protected tabs are skipped. Clicking a tab reloads it; unsaved page state may be lost.

Enter one domain or website address per line, up to 100 sites. example.com also covers mail.example.com. These sites stay awake during automatic idle suspension in normal and Incognito windows, including while the vault is locked. Manual suspension still works.

Whitelist domains are local preferences stored outside the encrypted vault. Paths and query strings are not saved.

Choose what to back up. Data is encrypted on your device before upload. Your vault password and readable contents are never sent to our server. Keep up to five versions, with a 14 MiB encrypted limit per version. Cloud backup and restore require an active Pro plan.

Cloud backup categories

Extra categories are off until you choose them. Local history consent does not grant cloud-upload consent. Changing these choices affects new backups; older versions keep their previous contents until deleted or replaced by retention.

Back up selected categories while unlocked after changes anywhere in WeeTabs. Checks run about every minute; uploads are limited to once per five minutes. Locked history stays local until you unlock.

Forced or coerced to unlock your bookmarks in front of someone? Enter your Decoy Password instead of your master password. WeeTabs will unlock a clean, harmless vault with innocent bookmarks (news, research, Wikipedia). An observer will see a fully functional, encrypted vault with zero indication that your real private links exist.
